The new Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport have had the automotive reviewers agreeing that Hyundai has fully arrived into the super competitive ranks of SUV manufacturers. Hyundai has upgraded all of their parts and materials, redesigned their vehicles, boosted performance and created the most fuel-efficient vehicle in its class.
In one Detroit News review, reviewer Doug Guthrie says of the 2013 Santa Fe, “No gasoline-engine, mid-size SUV comes close to the new Santa Fe Sport’s fuel economy. EPA estimates say the standard 2.4-liter, 190-horsepower, four-cylinder engine gets an outstanding 33 mpg highway. The optional 2.0-liter, turbocharged, 264-horsepower, four cylinder engine gets 31 highway. Only smaller, compact SUVs have achieved EPA ratings at or exceeding 30 mpg.”
The Santa Fe has been around since 2002 and has received a full redesign. It’s faster and more fuel-efficient, and pretty easy on the eyes as well. Hyundai pumps it full of cool features and technology, as well.
